Models

The 2009 BMW 7 series is slightly redesigned, gains more power and the styling of the car is freshened. The new feature added to the model is BMW’s iDrive control system. The 7 series lineup includes two models, namely the 750i and 750Li. The ‘L’ version comes with extended wheel base in comparison to the other model.

Powertrain

The standard engine to the 2009 BMW 7 series is a 4.4 liter twin turbo charged V8 model that produces power up to 400 hp and the only available transmission to the engine is 6-speed automatic with shifter. With the V8 engine, the 750i model can achieve fuel economy of 15 mpg in the city premises and 22 mpg on the highway roads. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a time span of just 5.3 seconds. The safety features available in the sports car include curtain side air bags, front knee air bags, antilock braking system, front side air bags, antiskid system and traction control.
